# What is Alphaglyph?

**Overview**

**Alphaglyphs** are verifiable, onchain autographs created through a secure and stylized signing process. They are permanently associated with an Alpha G.O.A.T NFT, acting as authenticated, immutable proof of a moment, relationship, or event tied to the signer.

Unlike traditional autographs that exist in the physical world and are subject to wear, loss, or forgery, Alphaglyphs are cryptographically recorded and visually represented in a format that merges both permanence and presentation.

**Purpose and Vision**

The Alphaglyph protocol exists to transform how provenance, identity, and memory are captured within NFTs. It introduces a new layer of value (emotional, cultural, and verifiable) by making signatures part of a digital object’s evolving identity.

Rather than treating autographs as offline novelties, Alphaglyphs offer a programmable, collectible, and transparent format for onchain attestation. It bridges real-world interaction and blockchain-based ownership in a meaningful and composable way.

**Key Characteristics**

* **Onchain**: Alphaglyphs are written directly to the blockchain. They are non-editable, timestamped, and cryptographically verifiable.
* **Attached to an Alpha G.O.A.T**: An Alphaglyph is not a standalone NFT. It is always linked to a specific Alpha G.O.A.T, creating a permanent historical and visual layer on that asset.
* **Signed by real people**: Whether it's a public figure, a peer, or a friend, Alphaglyphs must be actively signed by a wallet-controlled identity.
* **Customizable presentation**: Each Alphaglyph can carry unique stylistic elements like typography and layout, defined at the time of signature creation.
* **Immutable**: Once signed and published, an Alphaglyph cannot be deleted, edited, or transferred independently from its parent Alpha G.O.A.T.

Alphaglyphs introduce a new dimension to digital ownership. They formalize the concept of onchain signatures, not as wallet approvals or transaction logs, but as expressive, collectible, and permanent artifacts tied to NFTs.

They are a technical and cultural response to the need for meaningful, verifiable moments within the NFT space, offering both collectors and creators a new way to interact with digital objects that live, evolve, and hold memory.
